The Galilee Chapel, St. Illtud's Church in Llantwit Major, South Wales, had lay in ruin for more than 400 years. In 2010 a project began to restore the Chapel into a modern visitors centre and also home to ancient celtic artefacts, which until now had existed unceremoniously in a dark corner of the main church. In 2012 we were commissioned to join the project to lead the brand identity of the overall project, over the two years of the projects development we worked to created the CMS website design and brand identity, all brand communications, way finding signage and large format graphics and print. In–keeping with the architectural approach – we created a brand identity that overall was clean and modern but also with distinct reference to the historical integrity of the Llanilltud project.
